Protein A Magnetic Beads

Protein A Magnetic Beads are affinity-based magnetic particles designed for the selective capture, isolation, and purification of immunoglobulins and Fc-containing proteins.
Protein A Magnetic Beads are affinity-based magnetic particles designed for the selective capture, isolation, and purification of immunoglobulins and Fc-containing proteins. The bead surface is functionalized with Protein A, a cell wall protein originally derived from Staphylococcus aureus, which specifically binds to the Fc region of many mammalian immunoglobulin subclasses. The beads combine high-affinity antibody binding with rapid magnetic separation, enabling efficient capture and recovery of antibodies directly from complex biological samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, and other protein-containing matrices. Following target binding, the beads can be readily separated using an external magnetic field and subjected to washing or downstream processing without centrifugation or column chromatography. Protein A Magnetic Beads are suitable for antibody purification, immunoprecipitation, antibody enrichment, immunoassays, protein interaction studies, and other applications requiring efficient isolation or immobilization of Fc-containing molecules. Depending on the bead formulation, particle size, Protein A ligand density, antibody binding capacity, and buffer compatibility can be optimized to support research, diagnostic, and high-throughput automated workflows.
